  • Lead the development and design of various systems applications, tools, and operational processes
  • Plan and design the architecture of business applications and tools
  • Lead a team of software engineers
  • Coordinate with multiple teams, including Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and Data Science
  • Plan the integration of processes and applications into Apple’s multiple product offerings
  • Plan the budget for projects and create periodic reports on progress and challenges

Apple Engineering Manager Qualifications and Skills Required

To apply for an engineering manager position, you must have the following minimum qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science or IT, preferably a Master’s degree. A degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics is applicable for Machine Learning and AI roles. 
  • 7+ years of experience in the relevant field
  • Strong working knowledge of Programming Languages
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong Domain expertise (when applying for a domain-specific Em role) and knowledge of data processing technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in working cross-functionally with different teams

Apple Engineering Manager Salaries

The typical Engineering Manager salary at Apple is $212,555 per annum. Engineering Managers make anywhere between $105,356 and $321,172 per year. 

The average cash bonus offered to Engineering Managers at Apple is $33,098, while the average stock bonus offered to EMs is $160,432

The total average compensation, including the stock bonus and variable compensation components, is $232,837
