Silicon Valley is its own eco-system, which is not always a good thing, especially when we must make complex and archaic Immigration laws work amidst the political, economic, and social uncertainty of our times. Think anti-immigration agendas, COVID-19, possible recession. In this session we will explore how US immigration laws impact Silicon Valley start-ups, founders, employees, and their families, with specific reference to these current times. We will also review recent changes to immigration laws/policies as they apply to people in tech, including STEM students. Last, we will explore the options available to those who have been waiting in line for a US Green card for several years.
